Dear Phelps,
How are you now? I have heard that the disease has taken a heavy toll on your health recently, especially after the holidays. I was worried and I tried to phone you, but your mother said you were in the hospital. What did the doctor say about your disease? I just hope that returning to New Zealand and relieving yourself from the terrible stress schooling and this polluted urban environment created has brought an improvement to your health.
Although it has been a whole month since you left, the class has not forgotten you one bit. We miss you so much. We had an exhibition on Open Day just two days ago, and one of the essays we exhibited was your masterpiece. Many visitors came and gave their compliments to your work. Last week, during English lesson, the teacher took us out to the cinema to watch an English-speaking movie. We left the middle seat with the best view for you, imagining that you had come with us! It has been a wonderful time when you were still here, and we all wish that you would soon come back to join us.
Anyway, do get plenty of rest and get better while you are away. We all want you to return with a healthy body.
Yours truly,
Lee Wah
