As it is known to all, there have been earthquakes happening frequently in recent years. Yesterday was Wednesday, at four o'clock in the afternoon, the alarm rang in our classroom. "DRIIING!!" It was the earthquake alarm. The students inside who were all quite far from the doors quickly silenced and closed their eyes, crawling underneath their tables and using their school bags to cover their heads for extra protection. My classmates who were closer to the door crouched down and ran out of the classroom as fast as possible to the outdoors, a relatively safer place. This, as you may have realized, was an Earthquake Drill, and the school organized it to train students in case of an Earthquake. By this Drill, the students of our school learned how to protect them selves and to escape in case of emergencies. This Drill happens every year, thus we have the knowledge and skills needed in a possible case of Earthquake, and we are ready for it.
